Clairton Needs You in the Huddle

Coming Together to Support Mental Health, Healing & Hope

Clairton Needs You in the Huddle image
When a crisis hits, communities come together. That’s what happens in a huddle — a moment of unity before action. The Will Allen Foundation, the Clairton City School District, and the McElhattan Foundation are calling on neighbors, friends, partners, and donors to step into the huddle, surrounding students with a team that won’t give up on them.

We’re launching Clairton Huddle, a community-led initiative to bring social emotional learning, support, resources, and basic necessities to Clairton students. Together with your donation, we will:
  • Expand mental health support inside schools
  • Provide direct supplies like socks, hygiene items, and head wraps
  • Create a safe, empowered space for students to be heard and supported
  • Change the narrative about Clairton from crisis to community strength

The Clairton Huddle is also collecting donations of critically-needed items, including socks, feminine-hygiene products, deodorant, lip balm, and water bottles — resources that help remove barriers to dignity, attendance, and participation in school life. COHatch locations across Pittsburgh will serve as collection locations for donations.

We’re not just addressing a moment of crisis — we’re investing in a generation of young leaders. With your help, these bright, capable, and resilient students won’t just recover — they’ll rise.
